Uvědomil si, že problém není v neefektivním řešení vozíku, ale v tom, že je svět stavěn pro ty, kteří mohou ovládat balanci. Následně se svým týmem stvořili Independence IBOT™ Mobility System, zařízení, které umí kontrolovat stabilitu a umožňuje uživatelům vyjíždět schody a čelit nečekaným překážkám v terénu. Poté objevil velký potenciál v tomto typu transportéru i pro lidi s plnou mobilitou.
Naše inspirace pro jméno Segway prochází ze slova “seque”, které je definováno jako plynulý přechod z jednoho stavu do druhého. Segway transformuje člověka do motorizovaného chodce se schopností jít dál, rychleji a více odnést.
Příběh Ninebot
Ninebot je soukromá společnost s centrálním ústředím v Pekingu v Číně. V roce 2015 se Ninebot strategicky spojil se společností Segway sídlící v Bedfordu ve Spojených státech amerických.
